Derek Fisher is going to be putting his many years of postseason experience to good use as the NBA season makes its final push to the playoffs this week.
Turner Sports announced on Monday that they have brought Derek on as a guest analyst this week on two of their shows. He will make his debut Wednesday on NBA TV’s “NBA Gametime,” the network’s nightly live show, which runs down games in progress and airs from 7:30-9pm ET.
Then on Thursday, Derek will join his former Lakers teammate Shaquille O’Neal on the Emmy award-winning TNT studio show Inside The NBA. Shaq and Fish will be joined on the “Inside” desk by Brent Barry and host Matt Winer.
The show features halftime coverage during TNT’s nightly doubleheader, which begins with a matchup between the playoff-contending Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat. In the nightcap, the two best teams in the league will go head-to-head as the Golden State Warriors host the San Antonio Spurs. Derek, Shaq, Barry and Winer will wrap up the evening with Inside the NBA, an hour-long recap and analysis show at the conclusion of the game between Golden State and San Antonio.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the talented team at Turner Sports,” Derek said. “It’s a tremendous opportunity for me to stay close to the game I love and share insight from a new perspective.”
